This Privacy Policy explains how Second Chance Finds LLC ("Second Chance Finds," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use SCF Virtual Assistant, our web app at scfvirtualassistant.com (the "Service").

Second Chance Finds LLC is an Iowa limited liability company based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You can reach us at support@scfvirtualassistant.com.

The short version

SCF Virtual Assistant helps resellers manage their eBay and Square seller accounts, with AI help writing listings, pricing items, and cleaning up photos.
You connect your eBay and Square accounts using OAuth. We never see or store your eBay or Square passwords.
We use your data only to provide the Service to you.
We do not sell your personal information or your seller data. We do not share it for advertising.
You can disconnect your eBay or Square account, or ask us to delete your account and data, at any time.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account information: such as your name, email address, and login details when you create an SCF Virtual Assistant account.
Content you add: such as item photos, item notes, draft titles and descriptions, prices, and other information you enter or upload.
Messages to us: such as support requests sent to our support email.

Information from your connected eBay and Square accounts

When you connect an eBay or Square seller account, you authorize us through that platform's OAuth process to access certain data. Depending on the permissions you grant, this can include:

Account identifiers: your eBay user ID or Square merchant/account ID and basic seller profile details.
Listings and catalog: item titles, descriptions, photos, categories, item specifics, SKUs, and catalog items.
Inventory: quantities, locations, and stock levels.
Orders: order details, which may include your buyers' names, shipping addresses, and purchased items.
Pricing: item prices and related pricing information.
OAuth tokens: access tokens and refresh tokens that let the Service act on your behalf within the permissions you approved.

We only request the permissions needed to provide the Service's features.

Information collected automatically

Technical and usage information: such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages or features used, and error logs, which help us operate, secure, and fix the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies and browser storage that are needed to keep you signed in and to make the Service work. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use information

We use information only to:

Provide the Service, including reading and managing your listings, inventory, catalog, orders, and pricing on eBay and Square when you ask it to.
Generate AI suggestions, such as titles, descriptions, prices, and photo clean-up.
Keep your account signed in and secure, and prevent fraud and abuse.
Respond to your support requests and send you important notices about the Service (for example, security or policy updates).
Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the Service.
Comply with the law and with the rules of eBay, Square, and our other service providers.

Buyer information. Order data from eBay or Square may include information about your buyers. We use that information only to help you manage and fulfill your own orders. We do not use it to market to your buyers or for any other purpose.

3. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, your seller data, or your buyers' information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.

We share information only as described here:

Service providers (processors)

We use these third parties to run the Service. They process data on our behalf to provide their services:

We send these providers only the information they need to perform their services. Each provider's handling of data is also governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Other sharing

We may also share information:

At your direction, for example when you ask the Service to create or update a listing on eBay or Square.
For legal reasons, if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or is needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Second Chance Finds.
In a business transfer, if Second Chance Finds is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. OAuth tokens and security

No passwords. You sign in to eBay and Square on their own websites. We never see or store your eBay or Square passwords.
Limited access. The tokens we receive only allow the actions covered by the permissions you approved.
Secure storage. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored on our servers in encrypted form. They are not exposed in your browser and are not shared with anyone except the platform that issued them.
Limited use. Tokens are used only to provide the Service to you.
Deletion. When you disconnect an account, revoke access, or delete your SCF Virtual Assistant account, we delete the related tokens.
General safeguards. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls.

No method of storing or transmitting data is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security breach that affects your information, we will notify you and any affected platform as required by law and by eBay's and Square's rules.

6. Data retention

While your account is active, we keep your information as long as needed to provide the Service.
Disconnected accounts. When you disconnect eBay or Square, we delete the related OAuth tokens right away and stop collecting new data from that platform. Data previously synced from that platform is deleted within 30 days unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Deleted accounts. When you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete your information from our active systems within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed on our normal backup schedule, generally within an additional 30 days.
Legal needs. We may keep limited information longer if required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.

7. Account and data deletion

You can ask us to delete your SCF Virtual Assistant account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@scfvirtualassistant.com from the email address on your account, or by using any account deletion option available in the Service. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

Deleting your data from SCF Virtual Assistant does not delete data held directly by eBay or Square. To manage that data, use your eBay or Square account settings.

eBay Marketplace Account Deletion

We participate in eBay's Marketplace Account Deletion notification program. When eBay notifies us that an eBay user has requested deletion of their eBay account, we promptly delete the personal data we hold that is associated with that eBay account, including its OAuth tokens and synced eBay data, unless we are legally required to keep it.

8. How to revoke access

You can stop SCF Virtual Assistant from accessing your eBay or Square account at any time:

In SCF Virtual Assistant: use the option to disconnect your eBay or Square account, if available in the Service.
In eBay: go to your eBay account settings and remove SCF Virtual Assistant from the list of third-party applications that have access to your account.
In Square: go to your Square Dashboard, open the section that lists connected apps, and revoke SCF Virtual Assistant's access.
By email: contact support@scfvirtualassistant.com and we will disconnect your account for you.

Once access is revoked, we can no longer read or change your data on that platform, and we handle any remaining data as described in Section 6.

9. Your choices and rights

You may:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct information that is inaccurate.
Delete your account and personal information.
Disconnect any connected eBay or Square account.
Opt out of non-essential emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us. (We may still send required service and security notices.)

To make a request, email support@scfvirtualassistant.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor those rights as required.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults running reselling businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Where data is stored

Second Chance Finds is based in the United States. Our primary data storage is with Supabase in the United States (Ohio region). Some of our service providers may process data in other locations under their own safeguards. By using the Service, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you through the Service or by email before the changes take effect.
